Neustadt / Weinstraße is also called "The Pearl of the Palatinate", and is without a doubt the "secret capital of wine", as the German and Palatine wine queen is elected here every year after the great grape harvest in October.

The largest contiguous forest area in Germany captivates by the combination of special values: the pronounced biodiversity of nature, a dense network of marked hiking trails and trails, imposing castles and palaces as well as a unique hiking hut culture that saves a lot of luggage.
