The Schiller Rock, the Dahner Felsenland (Palatinate Forest) - popular destinations in the Palatinate Forest are not only the numerous, well-preserved ruins of castles and palaces - the famous Hambach Castle can be reached on foot in just 25 minutes. Thanks to many managed huts, you can also get by on extensive hikes with light luggage. Moutain bike and bicycle tours are very popular, either sporty through the Palatinate Forest or more leisurely along the "German Wine Route" cycle path.
